Julienne Baron is a commercial lawyer admitted in both England and Australia. She has more than 28 years’ experience in mergers & acquisitions.
She initially worked in private practice in Melbourne and later in Jakarta, specialising in foreign investment projects (joint ventures, acquisitions, IPOs, restructurings) for a range of clients in the energy, banking, manufacturing and consumer goods industries.
Julienne spent 22 years in the legal department of a multinational company in London, supporting portfolio projects in more than 45 different countries. She has worked on both private company and public company transactions and negotiated with other multinationals, trading houses, private equity, governments, international organisations, family-owned companies, major resource holders, national oil companies and entrepreneurs throughout Europe, Russia, the United States, Asia, Middle East and Africa.
She has completed acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures - including unwinding joint ventures that she helped to form, and handling litigation from pre-completion and post-closing issues. Julienne has written and delivered M&A core competency programs for lawyers, finance professionals and business people over many years and designed know-how and training programs on specific M&A topics. She has acted as facilitator on business leadership programs.
